Jocsoft YouTube Downloader is a video downloader and converter. It works with YouTube and other video-sharing websites. It has a built-in web browser that allows you to browse any website and to check videos before you download them. You don't need to find video URLs or paste them anywhere.
Although YouTube is in this app's name, it should work with most video sharing portals. I tried YouTube and Break.com and they worked well. The application allows you to browse the sites and when a video is detected, the application will ask you if you want to download the video and convert it. In some cases, this app found other videos on the page that I was browsing. If you click yes, it will download some other video and some times fail at it. If you click no, the app will keep looking and, after a while, it will find the video that you want to download.
There are quite a few formats available for you to convert the FLV files that are download by this app. Some of the supported formats are: MP4, 3GP, WMV, FLV, VOB, MPG, MOV, AVI, etc.
All in all, Jocsoft YouTube Downloader works well. It is quite fast and the converted videos are playable on any player. I didn't like that sometimes I was asked to download videos that were not the video I was looking for, but I can live with that. Also, I didn't see a way to choose the quality of the videos to download. |
